Once again, great product… we are learning more about the software every
day.
One issue I have right now that I can’t find an answer on Google:
- I created an address book entry for an individual
- at a later date, they would need access to the virtual office, so I
created a user account.
- Under the ADMIN tab in my administrator account, I clicked USER ACCOUNTS
then ADD
- I created the account and logged out as administrator
- I logged in as this new account to set some preferences before training
the individual and saw no issues
- When I went back to the administrator view to add the account to a
different user group, I cannot see the account under USER ACCOUNTS.
- When I select any user group, I can see the account to add to that group,
but I cannot access the user account directly
Of note: This new user account has the word “user” appended to the end of
the display name
Looking at the raw database I changed:
- in EGW_ADDRESSBOOK, I tagged the ACCOUNT_ID to the index of this new
account in EGW_ACCOUNTS
- I also made sure this new “invisible” account had the same groups and
other fields as my personal account (which can be seen)
- Inspected the EGW_ACL table in the ACL_ACCOUNT field, but I don’t see
anything there that was applicable
My question:
- When I created a user account after I already had that individual in the
address book, what did I do wrong from the interface?
- Second, what specific field do I need to update so that I can see the user
account in the Admin tab under USER ACCOUNTS?
Most easy way: create a new user account and then merge both in addressbook.
Ralf
Thanks in advance
Barry
