Can both 1.8 and 14.2 versions coexist in one server?

I have already one 1.8 CE running can i also install 14.2 can both coexist in one server ?

i do not want to update existing 1.8EC, i want to install 14.2 community edition for other portal.

Can i add new domain in 1.8 CE for this new portal?

Installation Wizard of Free Version of egw 14 on egroupware site is the community version?
is this the correct url to install EGW 14’s community version?

Surely yes.
As long as all installations have separate databases, temp, files and
backup folders.
Cookies path should be /inst_directory, not only server name.
I have similar installation running on FreeBSD but I’ve installed them
via svn and pear, not by ports collection.

Just for the update,

i installed new community egw parallal to the old version successfully. Installed using svn as per advice. thx again.
