Groupdav iphone sync issue

Hello,

i’'m desperately trying to sync ergroupware calendar and addressbok with an iphone 5c, ios 8.
i try everything, even upgrade from 1.8 to 14 but i can’t make it work.
i try using the groupdav.htaccess as suggested,
i try insert manually the url (www.mydomain.com/egwdir/groupdav.php or www.domain.com/egwdir/groupdav.php/principals/users/username)

phone always return error

i notice that pointing browser to www.domain.com/egwdir/groupdav.php show DAV page,
but www.domain.com/egwdir/groupdav.php/calendar or www.domain.com/egwdir/groupdav.php/principals/users/username or any other like that always return “no input fle specified”

i’m pretty shure rewrite rules work cause if i go www.domain.com/egwdir/principals/users/username show the same error

any idea on how to solve the issue?

Looks like a misconfiguration of your webserver.

To test your rewrite rules go to:

www.domain.com/.well-known/caldav

It should redirect you to

www.domain.com/egwdir/groupdav.php/

If you use our groupdav.htaccess renamed to .htaccess, you have to allow
it in your Apache configuration.

i’m pretty shure rewrite rules work cause if i go

any idea on how to solve the isse?
Recommendation is as always to use our Debian or RPM packages as the
configure everything for you!

The rewrite work pointing from browser to:
www.site.com/.well-known/caldav
redirect to:
www.site.com/sategw/groupdav.php/

but i notice iphone always put / at the end of the url i write in his config
I try with browser:
www.site.com/.well-known/caldav/
return 404 not found
so i add / at the end of the rule, the browser redirect well, but iphone is not working

The rewrite work not so well…
pointing from browser to:
www.site.com/.well-know/caldav
redirect to:
www.site.com/sategw/groupdav.php/
but ONLY if i comment the line
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_METHOD} ^(PROPFIND|OPTIONS)$
Hmm, that condition is only for the next line used if request-uri = /,
but it should be /.well-known/caldav.

Your rewrites or whole Apache config is broken!

Most easy and quickest way to fix is to use our packages best on an
empty (virtual) machine.

about the sync issue: i cannot use package or VM, actually egw is hosted on subfolder of my web space (joomla site) and not in virtual server (so i cant make change to apache config)

you reply on the first version of my post, but i edit it cause 5 min after posting i re-test and it is working even that line uncommented.

The actual situation is:
The redirect work, using default htaccess provided.
pointing browser to: www.sat-web.it/.well-known/caldav
redirect to: www.sat-web.it/sategw/groupdav.php/

a couple of things i notice:
iphone always put / at the end of the url i write in his config
so I try with browser: www.sat-web.it/.well-known/caldav/
and return 404 not found
i try to add / at the rule, between (caldav|carddav) and $ (RewriteRule ^.well-known/(caldav|carddav)/$ /sategw/groupdav.php/ [R]),

some time ago, with another installation of egw, hosted in my server (windows server in that case) i was able to make it work writing the full address, without htaccess

now i’m going crazy, i cannot understand why it do not want to work…

Hi GioGio,

if redirects are working with our default .htaccess, you only need to
specify the domain-name in iPhone.

iOS will try https first and then http.

You can enable logging in your CalDAV/CardDAV preferences.
