Hello I’m using egroupware’s latest version with archive installation.
Is there a way to add user group via code or any other option. I read that it’s been taken out years ago, just wondering if there’s a workaround for it

Hi Vishakha.

I am not sure…
If you have access to the group repo, try copying/fetching the group app via wget (…) into your EGroupware directory and then installing it via setup.

You should still consider using an EGroupware standard installation on your own server. This is certainly better for EGroupware operation.

I have written about this:

I will update the article in the coming week. I am giving a lecture on this…

Hi Stefan

I don’t have the group app repo access yet,
Can you send me the link to group app repo

Hi Stefan, just checking if there’s some another way of obtaining credentials , I tried the steps in the above article, but couldn’t get through

I hope you have checked/tried this in your old system.
The one that already existed at the time of 1.8…

It’s really imperative for us to get the user group, currently it’s a blocker for us right now. If you can suggest the best solution for getting the credentials we can get started with importing the library.

Yeah we are a long time user, any chance we can find the installation id somewhere in the egroupware db or setup ?
