Hi all ,
i have installed egroupware-docker version (23.1.20230524), and everything works, when i start a videocall i get this error message: “embedding meet.jit.si4 is intended only for demonstration purposes so this call will disconnect in 5 minutes. please use jitsi as a service for production embedding”.
Can you help me?

Oha. I didn’t know that.
Well, that’s how it is with free services. At some point, money has to be earned with them.
If you use Jitsi in business, we strongly recommend using your “own” Jitsi.

I can’t say how good the connection/quality to Italy is. But they will be happy to provide you with a test system.
Alternatively, you can try working with one of the many other free Jitsi servers. But always remember: You are communicating via other servers!

For me, it looks like this within Germany (similarly far away from the server as you are):
~ 10ms
If you don’t have mtr and don’t want to install it, a ping will do.

Any idea?

Enter demo.kiwitalk.de14, save, create appointment => works for me.
However, this system is really only for demo purposes, not for personal free use!
One more thing:
If you use your own Jitsi server, you secure the access via a JWT token. This way, no one else can use your system or enter a video call without authorisation.
If you then make the video calls via EGroupware, the name and avatar also come with the URL. You no longer have to enter this yourself.
Please show me your ping/mtr times IT=>DE.

Hi Stefan,
I attach you the print screen with the ping/mtr (attach-1), video calls do not work from the menu at the side of egroupware(attach-2), it seems that this keeps using jitsimeet ignoring the bigbluebutton settings entered in the rocketchat configuration (attach-3).
Any idea?

One has nothing to do with the other.
The status bar in EGroupware uses the video conferencing system that you have configured in EGroupware/Status.
But already considerably more than here in Germany.
Maybe you should look for a commercial provider in Italy.
There are certainly free Jitsi servers in Italy as well. But for me, security and data protection rule out free video conference servers. And my experiences regarding stability and quality are really not good.
