As previously announced, we start the beta period by publishing the first packages for on premise installations on 25th April 2014. In this hot phase on the way to the new EGroupware release 14.1, we’re looking forward getting your feedback and experience running the beta version on your system.

1. Beta period EGroupware 14.1 - Installation packages available for download

EGroupware 14.1 is available as a beta version for installations on base of Linux. With this first beta version, we are waiting curiously for feedback from the EGroupware community and enterprise users (EPL). Don’t upgrade your productive system with the beta version, as the development is still ongoing.

2. EGroupware 14.1 trials already in Stylite’s Managed Hosting

With the start of the beta period, we are delivering all EGroupware 30-day trial databases on base of the new version EGroupware 14.1. The trial databases are equipped with email account integration, in order to give you an opportunity for convenient testing.

The start up with EGroupware is easiest in dialogue during an individual presentation by desktop sharing. Just get in touch with us and make an appointment

Note: the module ‘Project Manager’ is not yet included, as extensive software development (e.g. gantt chart) is still ongoing. We’ll keep you informed about the current development.

3. Support platform MyStylite upgraded to EGroupware 14.1

On the way to the release we are upgrading data instances step by step. Our online support platform MyStylite is already upgraded, so our EPL users and partners can experience the new EGroupware 14.1 before the official release.

Hello,

as a system admin, I would recommend to you to wait more time before
upgrade.
I have some environments running 1.8.007 and I think we shall wait some
months (netween 6-12) after the 14.1 official release (that did not occurs
yet).

But if you like adrenaline, may you shall advance.

However, I`m not the right person to answer this.

What is the status of the 14.1 installation package version ? In fact what I
am waiting for is the upgrade package from 1.8 to 14.1 for our production
system.
We currently have beta packages, which also update an 1.8 to 14.1.

We plan to have a feature-complete RC package, probably next week and
then finally 14.1 release.

All packages allow to upgrade from 1.8. When you update your production
system is up to you of cause.
