21.1: error when adding a secondary email account

Hello,

after upgrade to 21.1 version, I cannot add a secondary email account (in Mail tab, clic on create new account).

In step 3 (sieve configuration), I see errors in javascript console:

Server is running docker-compose installation, behind an HA Proxy with a dedicate mysql database server and a dedicate mail server (cyrus handles IMAP, STMP and sieve).

Strange thing is that when I click on back button (Retour in French), it goes to step 4 SMTP with some errors and same behaviors.

Is there anything to be done to allow smooth user experience when creating a secondary account ?

Egroupware expects to have “/egroupware/” in the URL:

https://www.example.org/egroupware/…

It looks like you removed that from the path?

I had the same in the past and had various issues after switching to 19.1. Had less issues after adding the “/egroupware/”

thanks for your quick response.

We see the same error on a (customer) installation with “/egroupware/” in URL. This is very new to 21.1, it worked like a charm on 20.1:

I forgot to mention that “Uncaught TypeError” message appears when clicking on continue button (“Continuer”).

Few basic questions:

Is this a new install or upgraded?
Which browser do you use? Have you tested with other browsers?
Did you clean up the browser-cache?

Is that the latest version?

I believe we fixed that error already.

It is an upgrade (from 20.1 to 21.1)
Seen with Firefox and with Chromium

On both installations, in Admin/Changelog and version we can read:

egroupware-docker (21.1.20210521) hardy; urgency=low

One installation (ours) uses docker-compose.yml file, after changing 20.1 to 21.1 on line 56.

Other installation (customer) is using debian packages, that deploy docker containers.

Should I manually add a patch to be included in next 21.1 version ?

You can, but you have to switch minifying of JavaScript off (Admin > Site configuration) to see any difference.

We’ll build a new maintenance release in the next days.

I can confirm that it works with latest version.
(Version shown in changelog is : egroupware-docker (21.1.20210723) hardy; urgency=low )
