Hi All,
I’m in need of a solution that will allow users to add events to their
calendars via email. Well, perhaps I should back up. My requirements
are really as follows:
- Provide email (or SMS) notifications to cell phones
- Allow the user to click a link in the message and have it
automatically added to their mobile calendar … or … all the user
to subscribe to the calendar via their mobile device.
I’ve looked briefly at Funambol, but it seems to have a lot of items
that I really don’t need (contact syncing) and doesn’t directly
address the ones I do (namely calendar syncing for multiple mobile
devices).
I’m currently using eGroupware 1.6.001 (daily build from 4-20-09). I
have the email notifications working like a charm – not on a PUSH
basis, but that’s not necessarily a problem. what I need now is for
them to be able to save the info to their mobile calendars (iPhone,
WinMobile, Blackberry, etc.)
Any straightforward solutions? Any way to send vCalendar/iCalendar
attachments from eGroupware?
