Custom Translation

HI All,
We are using EGW in Italian language and we noticed that Ingfolog’s custom translation does not seem to work correctly. In Italian, the correct translation would be “Registro” as the same command is used to record emails, activities, phone calls etc.
We have added a custom translation as shown in figure

The translation appears correctly when an email is written.

But when you write an email, even if you select the infolog option, it does not seem to be stored.
Any suggestions?

In Italian, the correct translation would be “Registro”

InfoLog is the abbreviation for information logbook. (or Informations-Logbuch in German).
In this respect, there is no right or wrong or untranslated.

Of course, this term is used in countless places in texts.

Apparently, it is not translated at the point where you send an email. It is not noticeable because it is not translated. No one has want that in the last 20 years…

I’ll pass it on to the developers (for this part). But it may take some time…

Dear Stefan,
I understand your point of view but, trust me, in Italian it seems strange to archive an email or a note under yhe voice “Attività” (activity). The correct translation seems to me to be Register or Registration because, was thinking, infolog was used, in English as a short reference of “infolog entry” which, in Italian, could be "Registrazione or “Registro”.
This is simply my opinion and my comment is not related to any kind of adoration of Italian language but rather related to the consideration that if there is a possibility to customise translations for a word it should be applied whenever that word appears.
After introducing the custom translation my employees are now baffled as on the one hand they find the word ‘Activity’ and on the other hand the custom translation ‘Registration’.

I deleted the cash, logged out and logged in.

For me, a Ctrl-F5 already helps.
