Wir haben eine Vorabversion für das bevorstehende Major Release 26.x veröffentlicht.
Mit dieser Version bringen wir die seit längerem laufende technische Aktualisierung weitgehend zum Ende. Dies betrifft nun im wesentlichen das Anwendungs-Framework, also die Anwendungsoberfläche in den Apps und um die Apps herum.
Weiterer Schwerpunkt ist die Integration von RAG, AI-Texttools und AI-Assistant/-Chat. Zum RAG-Integrations-Umfang gibt es einen Artikel auf GitHub/EGroupware:

RAG kann kombiniert werden mit einer KI/LLM. Als SaaS oder selbst gehostet.
So kann im Bereich E-Mail KI beim Lesen und Schreiben von E-Mails helfen oder das Ticketsystem in natürlicher Sprache abgefragt werden.
Die Funktionen werden sind noch nicht komplett im Pre-Release angekommen. Wir veröffentlichen das nun nach und nach.
Wichtig ist aber schon einmal: Admin kann konfigurieren, wem welche Funktionen zur Verfügung stehen.
Accessibility ist ebenso ein größeres Thema. Neben bereits länger bestehende Möglichkeiten für die Anpassung der Schriftgröße und Schriftart wurden nun die Navigationselement Screenreader-tauglich gemacht und ARIA-Attribute konsequent verwendet.

Diese Vorabversion sollte (noch) nicht auf Produktivsystemen installiert werden!
Benutzer sollten unbedingt gut vorbereitet werden, das sich ein paar Dinge in der Bedienung ändern…
Ebenso müssen Admins die technischen Release Notes bezüglich RAG beachten.
Für Bug-Meldungen, Fragen oder Hinweise bitten wir um Meldung hier im Forum. Wichtig dabei: Pro Thema (nur) ein Beitrag.
Informationen zum neuen Release haben wir noch recht wenig, die gewohnten ausführlichen Release Notes für das Forum sind noch nicht ausgearbeitet.

Hello everyone,
we have released a (second) Pre-Release for the upcoming Major Relaease 26.x.
We have released a preview version for the upcoming major release 26.x.
With this version, we are largely completing the technical update that has been ongoing for some time. This now mainly affects the application framework, i.e. the application interface in and around the apps.
Another focus is the integration of RAG, AI text tools and AI assistants/chatbots. There is an article on GitHub/EGroupware about the scope of RAG integration:

RAG can be combined with AI/LLM. As SaaS or self-hosted.
This means that AI can help with reading and writing emails or querying the ticket system in natural language.
The functions are not yet fully available in the pre-release. We are now publishing them gradually.
However, it is important to note that admins can configure which functions are available to whom.
Accessibility is also a major topic. In addition to the long-standing options for adjusting font size and font type, the navigation elements have now been made screen reader-compatible and ARIA attributes are used consistently.

The tag to be used is currently 26.
This pre-release version should not (yet) be installed on production systems!
Users should be well prepared, as a few things will change in terms of operation…
Administrators must also note the technical release notes regarding RAG.
