If it should run daily and need the eGW environment, it’s makes sense to
run it via the async service.
CLI scripts are not hard to do either, but they need a user to run.
admin/admin-cli.php is an easy example.

I want to automatically send a computer generated email to all the
active users, daily.
Is there a way to do this already?
Is there a way to get a list of email addresses on the CLI so I can
cron this?
Would it be better to write a quick script and have the async tools
run it from inside eGroupWare?
