Hi Christoph,
I moved icalsrv.php to icalsrv/icalsrv.php, it’s not removed. It’s done
to either have it available or not. Before you could have icalsrv.php,
but not the icalsrv packages installed, which did not work of course.
For 1.6 iCalServer will be (like MyDMS) a contrib package. You have to
install it explicitly. This is done as iCalSrv has some prinziple
problems leading sometimes to completly or partially deleted calendars!
These problems are solved with CalDAV/GroupDAV, which is now part of the
eGW core.
GroupDAV is working for tasks, but not CalDAV. So you can NOT use CalDAV
together with Lightning (or SunBird), if you need the tasks. Otherwise
CalDAV is recommended! It’s planned to have tasks support in CalDAV for 1.6.

Hello,
what is the state for Groupdav Support for Tasks in
Thunderbird/Lightning? As I followed the list, and following my tests
over here it is not supported by now. Is this planned for 1.6, because
Ralf just moved icalsrv to the side, and this is the only known way to
get tasks in Lightning.
Thanks
Christoph
