Holidays in Calendar

Hi All,
we use 20.1.20210125 version. Is there any way to see holidays in Calendar app ? I tried to add this URL https://www.thunderbird.net/media/caldata/GermanHolidays.ics to Calendar setting, but unfortunately nothing is displayed in Calendar. Is there any other setting that should be set ? Or this feature is not working ?

Hi Luboš.

This works for me.

You do not have to enter an address. Unless you really want to use a different one.

Does your EGroupware server have access to the internet so that it can fetch the data?

Has this never worked before or only after an (what) update?
Installation type?

How do you expect to see the holidays?
Web or mobile view?

Hi Stefan,
I know that I do not have to enter address. But without, it doesn’t work either for me. I didn’t tried to get it work before. Some of our users wants it now. I have docker installation and I have access to internet on 80,443 ports.
I expect to see the holidays in web view.

The holidays are highlighted in colour and the mouse-over shows the holiday:

Is this a comprehension problem or a technical problem (no holiday dates)?

Stefan,
thanks for showing me the settings in “Forced preferences”. After I set it according to your picture holidays in German appeard. Anyway I need it for Czech. And that doesn’t work. Probably the file CzechHolidays.ics doesn’t contain holidays for this year. Is there any way how to make my own calendar ? What should be the structure ?

I got it. I found this link https://calendar.google.com/calendar/ical/cs.czech%23holiday%40group.v.calendar.google.com/public/basic.ics and this one works.

I suspect if you don’t enter anything and look in 2020 you will find holidays.

Apparently no one has been found to maintain the calendar:

So you also have this problem with Thunderbird.

Ah, OK.

Of course, I would prefer it if a free organisation provided the data. Not a data collector like Google.

We’ll have to see how we deal with it…
