Hi Team,

I have successfully integrated openldap in egroupware and i iam able to login. After login to ldap users iam getting blank page. what to do now. i want all the applications for LDAP users.

Is the page really complete blank, which suggests a server-side error and you should look in the log, you see parts of EGroupware but no apps. That happens if you’re LDAP users have no rights to run any applications. In that case you should use Setup to create an admin user, which can be also used to give an existing user admin rights and creates our default groups with rights, if they not yet exist.

I see parts of EGroupware but no apps. I tried to create an admin user but iam getting below(please find a attachment) error.

That means EGroupware was not able to create the necessary groups “Admins” and “Default”.

You either need to create them yourself, or give an LDAP user with enough rights so EGroupware can create them.

Next time also report the errors from the webserver error-log.

Hi,

I’m newbie to Egroupware and LDAP. Can you share any documentation for giving permission for LDAP user enough rights so EGroupware can create groups by its own.

If you are new to LDAP and EGroupware, why do you want to use LDAP in the first place?

In my company we are using LDAP based authentication. So, i need to integrate LDAP users to egroupware.

Then ask your LDAP admin to create the two groups for you an assign all EGroupware administrators to the “Admins” group and all EGroupware users to the “Default” group.

Or give for example the LDAP root account and password to EGroupware, so you can use EGroupware to create and manage users and groups via EGroupware. If you already done that and get the error, you should look in the webserver error-log (/etc/egroupare-docker/egroupware-logs.sh in a default installation). You probably have some Konfiguration errors with the DNs you specified.
