Planning for 1.6

Hi Ralf/Admins,

Gotta Q 'bout the planning for 1.6; is a date for the first RC picked
already?
Reason I ask is, I’m working on a tracker update I’ld like to have
implemented in 1.6 (incoming mail handler), but because of other
projects with higher prio I think I need 2-3 more weeks to finish this.

Hi Oscar,

I kinda missed that mail.

I plan to have the first RC for 1.6 before the end of the month.

So your tracker stuff should be fine timewise.

Hi Oscar and everyone interested,

I’m finished with my tracker work for 1.6 - modulo bug-fixes of cause

So it’s all yours now …

How is you stuff coming along?

I have finished all my bigger projects and will press now for the
release of 1.6.

Here’s my todo list:

SQLFS
- save files by their id not the path
- file system check (find un-connected files and move them to lost+found)
Filemanager
- custom fields and free DAV properties
make fields-name in history log table longer (varchar(2) currently),
to allow to store the complete field-name of the app (no need to
translate them to a 2 char shortcut)
InfoLog & ProjectManager: edit/view dialog as popup
autoloading for core apps: Calendar, InfoLog, PM, Timesheet
eTemplate:
- fix “‘123’ is no allowed value” bug
- Ajax for nextmatch widget (paging, search, …)
Tracker
- a real subscription interface (CC is editable by everyone)
- maybe CF’s (maybe not for 1.6)
MyDMS:
- import of the (unversioned) content into new filemanager
- make it an own (contrib) package, no longer installed by default

I hope to get this finished in the next 2-3 weeks so we can have a first
RC withing June.

Anyone else has plans for stuff, which should be in 1.6?

I just committed the update that contains automatic handling of incoming
mails.

I’m currently testing (first bug already found :-S); I suppose most
issues will be solved during or soon after the weekend.
One more TODO; there’s an option to forward mails that where not
recognized, but that’s not yet implemented.

Let’s say, halfway next week afaic.
