Well, it took me more than a month, but I’ve finally got some nested
group stuff finished.
http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?
func=detail&aid=1368591&group_id=78745&atid=554340
gives:
Nested groups (groups inside groups)
Group Admin app to allow delegation of users.
For example:
The sales department has guys coming and going all the time. You
don’t want to have to add and remove them to keep up with the hires
and fires, you want the sales manager to deal with it. You can
create a Sales group (and a Dallas Office, London Office, etc
subgroup) and let the appropriate managers deal with their own
people. The manager can give any privilege she has to the whole
group, or to particular users, as well as add, edit & delete users.
The users are added to the managed group.
It probably has a few rough edges, but it’s there anyway.
Please comment, any suggestions and tips are appreciated, as I’m new
to this.
