Can a user see ONLY its own data in adress book?

With the ACL according to the manual, it’s possible to make than a user can see only its own data when he access to the adress book . As admin I can check or not the read case in the ACL Adress Book, for a specific user, every time when this user is logged all the peoples of the Adress book are displayed. I check the groups of which this user is member also of course. I am not able to display only its own data for the current user.

Am I wrong somewhere ?

the accounts addressbook is readable by everyone, thought you can limit
account access via:

a (forcable) common pref: how should accounts be selected
a (forcable) addressbook pref: Hide accounts from addressbook

hello Ralf
I don’t see anywhere the the ‘pref’ you speak about. Not Present in config Site Admin screen and not present in adress book config Screen . I make a check to find the two strings you indicated from egw_table

how should accounts be selected => “Not present”
-Hide accounts from addressbook => "Not present for french language ’ I use french langage

Certainly I’m wrong somewhere…

Hello Ralf, I was a little bit confusing with my previous mail
The forcable pref for address/book hides all the content of the adress book :

As Admin I want access to every account
As other user I want access only to my own account

About common pref I don’t find it

I presume you are are telling me it’s possible, with the link exemple. I’ve no doubt about, but I don’t master correctly, for the moment, I’ve to learn. I’ve found the common preferences (In the upper left of the screen, it takes me a while, Sorry)…
I will make you a follow up as soon as I willsucceed. I proceed ahead…
I’ve understand I must, first ,deliver different rights for groups or individual users and with common an application preferences I will reach my target …
