I guess I am missing something. If the messages are on my server, the only reason I see to download/save them is if wanted to access them if the connection to the server was down. Since the server is sitting next to my workstation, that is not a problem. So I do not see any necessity in saving them locally.
>There are advantages to saving them as infologs.
>You can categorise, link contact details, or have attachments.
>Calendar events, or project tasks can be linked also.
Are you saying that Felamimail is not capabale of "sorting, searching, and categorising" the email on the IMAP server. My friend uses Horde with an IMAP server and it is completely capable of "sorting, searching, and categorising."
>Felamimail is capable of sorting, searching, and a form of categorising by moving emails to sub folders.
When you say "move them to an imap server." Does that mean simply moving. I don't want to be overly pedantic, but since we are talking about formats and converting here, it is important to know if I can simply drop the existing KMail structure on the IMAP Server. Other than simply "move it to an IMAP server", what do I need to do access my email with Felamimail?
>To access with felamimail you need a computer acting as a mail server.
>That provides an imap connection, and the emails you wish to access.
>Also a way for felamimail to access that server.
