Have you been able to resolve this issue yet? I just started with FelaMiMail a couple of days ago and I am experiencing the same problem you are:

It looks like my setup is similar to yours. I am trying to use IMAP over SSL. Unless I check both “Use TLS encryption” and “Use TLS authentication”, my IMAP server refuses the connection. I can send out mail… I just can’t view my incoming mail.
I have been able to setup my IMAP account within Microsoft Outlook, so I am pretty sure what I have entered into the FelaMiMail admin utility is correct.
I’ve spent the past 3 or 4 hours changing settings and googling around. I haven’t found much as far as solutions are concerned. It looks like I’m going to have to dive into the code to see if I can find out what is being sent and exactly what is breaking. Ugh!
Perhaps with a little group effort, we can kick this bugger… I will definitely post my findings.

I have Guardian Digital mail server [1] running that uses imap-ssl. I
can connect to the mail server via email client using IMAP-SSL i.e.
993.
I have another mail server running qmailrocks [2] i.e. imap without
ssl 143. I can also connect to this server by email client as well as
egroupware–> felamail.
The problem is whenever I try to connect mail server [1] using
egroupware–>felamail over imap-ssl, it says:
The connection to the IMAP Server failed!!

I tried all possible configurations i.e.
Use TLS encryption:
Use TLS authentication:
IMAP C-Client Version < 2001:
but none works.
Here are my configuration settings:
POP/IMAP Server: Mail server [1] IP
Mail Server Protocol: IMAPS
Mail server Login Type: Standard
SMTP Server: Mail server [1] IP
SMTP Server port: 25
Can anybody help out here?
