Filemanager - eGW 1.6 rc1 - workflow - Alfresco - webdav

Dear developpers,
I have a problem that i couldn’t resolve since 2 weeks.

I have installed egroupware 1.6 rc1 and i have a problems with my filemanager. here’s the problems:
When i try to upload files, the system display:

1. Error uploading file!
2. the file size shown is "0"
   when i try to use a webdav client, i find all my files but their sizes are zero, it’s like the system creates the names but didn’t copied them to the Webdav server.

My second question:

I am using egroupware with Alfresco for the workflow, i want to use the same webdav server for the two soft to share files. Alfresco has it’s own webdav server and it’s developed with jsp. it runs under tomcat.

Its webdav url is: http://server:8080/alfresco/webdav/User Homes/

My egroupware configuration is:
Where should eGroupware store file content*: Filesystem(Default*)
Enter the full path for users and group files: http://localhost/egroupware/filemanager/webdav.php/
Select which type of authentication you are using: LDAP
Authentication type for application: SyncML : LDAP
Authentication type for application: GroupDAV/CalDAV/CardDAV :LDAP
HTTP auth types (comma-separated) to use without login-page, eg. “NTLM”:
Select where you want to store/retrieve user accounts:LDAP
LDAP Default homedirectory prefix: /home

ALfresco and egroupware athentication is made from LDAP server.

----> Is it possible to use the same webdav server for egroupware and Alfresco?
My idea is to shere the same home space /home/…

-----> what is the webdav rootdocument in egroupware, i mean where can i find my files locally in my hard disk? to share it with alfresco?

Hi,

you mixed some things up:

eGroupware currently only profides a WebDAV server, not a client!

That’s why the content of the files get not stored.

In principle you should be able to use eGroupware with an other WebDAV
server, but this is not tested and you have to mount it with:
filemanager/cli.php mount
webdav://$user:$pass@server:8080/alfresco/webdav/User\ Homes /home

Given you get that running, filemanager will show your Alfresco home
directory, but you will have no group directories and attachments will
be stored just in eGroupware.

Thenk you very much for ur answer
But i still have a problem.

Storing files is working well in egroupware and i can see the files via Webdav (eGw server).

I have selected cli.php to mount the alfresco home space and i put the correct alfresco webdav server address, but when i check the configuration again (config.php —>setup) it goback to Filesystem and i can’t see my alfresco files!!!

What i wanted is to store and retreive files in alfresco webdav server via filemanager. Their way to store files is so complicated ----> they use some kind of encryption and sturcturs like workspace/spacestore/d68b412e-1fee-11dc-9acb-a7d42d2872c6’…
when i cheked the folder i found the files stored as follow:
year/month/day/hour/minut/ file.bin ----> exemple : 2008/10/22/11/58/2115aa5f-a018-11dd-9771-b5757f256490.bin

but if i upload files via their webdav server, everthing are made themselves (i mean the files/folder structurs creation)

in the explanation u gave me befor, do I change $user:$pass by their values? In my case i leaved it like this:
webdav://$user:$pass@localhost:8080/alfresco/webdav/User%20Homes/

do u have an idea how to fix this problem. Thanxk you so much.
