Force view of all users in group

Hello All!

I would like to know if I can force the calendar to show all events for all staff, instead of only the person logged in.

If that is not possible, how many concurrent connections can one user have?

I am attempting to use a calendar for all to schedule events. These events are “first-come-first-serve”. So everyone must be able to see what slots are filled and what slots are open.

Any suggestions are appreciated

If you have the group managment module, you could create an according group (called ‘all’ for example), put all the active users in it and select it along the logged in user. That way, you would see the scheduled events of all the group members. I don’t think this behaviour could be forced.

If you don’t have the integrated group management module (1), you might manage groups externally from EGroupware (in Active Directory or LDAP), but this is not so trivial to set up and would need a migration of user accounts.

Others might have better suggestions.

Thanks for the suggestion. I have version 14.03. Currently I can open the calendar and select all users in the group, but it will not prevent me from setting an even over an existing one from another user. I need a way for multiple logins to set an event but not able to use the same date/time.

Hi Detox,

It cannot be forced to see a calendar of a group, user or resource.

In addition to Yann’s approach, maybe that would be a solution(?):
Create a resource and set the appropriate permissions. Users can then view the resource calendar. You can create a favorite for quick access for all users (group assignment).
You could also set this so that the resource cannot be booked if it is occupied. You could then also see who has booked.

Or you can create a user and share his calendar with the default group. So everyone can set appointments in it…

You’ll have to see what suits your needs best.
