Is there documentation / Youtube for Softaculous installation best practice?

Hi all,
I’m a technical newbie trying to de-google somewhat.

I installed EGroupware via Softaculous but in reading around could not easily find manuals or AI or YouTubes on how to do basic setup procedures like sync my own PIM.

I’m back at the starter level with basic questions like should I have created a specially named sub-domain rather than just install on my main domain name in CPANEL, etc.

The main installation manual wiki is about Linux etc. Any manuals, or better, YouTubes on the correct Softaculous procedure and domain name management for efficient integration with CalDAV and CardDAV? (I’ve never done any of this before.)

That depends on the PIM and how you want to connect it (ActiveSync / *DAV).

For *DAV please take a look at:

A sub-domain always makes sense. My opinion.

Softaculous procedure and domain name management

To do this, you need to see how and where this is set in your case.
This is different for every provider and cannot be answered in general terms.

You will be doing yourself a favour if you rent a vServer and set up a standard installation of EGroupware on it.
