Migration to different server

Hi guys

I am currently running 1.5.??? on an elderly box that I want to retire.
That isntallation is wonky and webmail doesn’t work. I want to move to a
new box and was wondering about the best method. Update the old box,
export data and reimport on new box?

To migrate EGroupware to a different box (and hopefully an up to date
version!) you need - EGroupware wise - the following from the old box:

database dump (mysqldump or EGroupware’s own backup format)
content of files directory (log into setup (upper login) >>
Configuration, if you dont know which directory was used)
maybe your existing header.inc.php file, thought if you create a new
database and database user on the new box, you can also type in the new
credentials …

the probolem is that felamimail doesn’t work on the old box - at all! It
just gives an empty screen. I am therefore ratehr hesitant to migrate
the databse via simple export and import
