Hi,
for an not active account, you cant set an expiration date, as both are
stored in the same attribute:
- not active account: shadowExpire=0 (= 1.1.1970)
- active account with expiration date: shadowExpire is set to date
- active account without expiration date: shadowExpire is NOT set
Thanks Ralf for the clarification, but for the filter rules in
saslauthd.conf I really need such an attribute which can work with bot
active account with expire date as well as active account with out
expiration.
like If the filter is like mail=(&(u%@d%)(shadowExpire=!0))
then “active account without expiration date” will not work bcoz there
is noshadowExpire at all.

Dear Ralf,
I have done some experiment after ur fix of class.auth_ldap.inc.php
If I make an account never expired and active then there is no shadowexpire.
but if I set a date for expiration then shadowexpire appears again.
So how can I get activeaccount attribute for the active+never expired
account
