PEAR error on install: Auth_SASL not installed... FIXED!

I copied what someone else posted for the missing PEAR modules (from hostmonster). I have shared hosting too (on another provider) and found that just using the ‘PEAR install tool’ put the modules under ~/php.

Solution:
cp -R ~/php/* “egroupware home directory”/egw-pear.
If you have already installed the apps, remove them and reinstall under setup.
This worked for 1.6.001 release.

My shared hosting ISP (hostgator) has a directory under my home dir called:
/home/myhome/php/
This dir contains:
[ ~/php]$ ls
Archive Console PEAR Structures XML docs pearcmd.php tests
Auth OS PEAR.php System.php data ext peclcmd.php

My published web dir is:
/home/myhome/www/
My egoroupware dir is:
/home/myhome/www/egroupware/

I copied the entire php directory recursively to the dir where I installed egroupware.
e.g. cp -R /home/myhome/php/* /home/myhome/www/egroupware/egw-pear
