I have the same problem.
I did delete the file and re-created. Same issue.
I am using Fecora Core 6.

Thanks a lot for showing me the right way. I have gone through

Where should I create that file. please note I am using

Hi,
you are using Plesk and Plesk sets open_basedir in each vhost
configuration and NOT via the php.ini.
Have a look in our Knowledgebase, there’s an article I wrote

well :-=) I do have a /var/lib/php5 from the very begining. I

the php.ini I have restarted the apache2 as you suggested.
eGroupWare using php session handling features and php must

far as I know).
In this case, php must save the temporary session files.
The directory mentioned in your error log is the right place.
After eliminate this session problem, we will back to pear.
By the way, did you restart/reload your webserver?
There is an option in the Setup: check php or similar. You
can check the
open_basedir there.

check your open_basedir variable in php.ini and after you

And check that, apache is able to run pear or not.
Thanks for your response. I have tried your suggestion by
including “/usr/share/php5:/usr/share/php5/PEAR” at
open_basedir of php.ini. But still have the same problem

finding pear. more over there is an error like

Please help me to solve the problem.

Hi!
There is LDAP running on localhost together with eGroupWare:

eGroupWare is configured to use certain place in LDAP tree.
I can create new account with eGroupWare into LDAP.
