Remove LDAP

Hi,
To simplify my eGroupware installation, I’d like to remove LDAP. I don’t quite remember why I installed it, given that I don’t use it for system user authentication. I believe that historically, address book sharing was only possible via LDAP.

I wanted you to confirm which elements depend on it:

• User accounts.

• Address book shared by a user group.

I found out how to convert my LDAP address book to a vCard using Thunderbird. I tested importing it into a virtual machine.

Do you see anything else I might have missed?

Where do you use LDAP today?

As far as I know, you can change the storage of user accounts in the setup…

Hi,
I only use LDAP for EGroupware, and I don’t remember why. It was maybe 10 years ago. I think it was for sharing contacts between groups. I’d like to remove it from EGroupware.
Today, it’s used for authentication and the address book. But it causes problems with Guacamole. And it’s rather obscure to me, making it difficult to maintain.
