Sharing a calendar?

GMail has a nice feature, when you share you calendar with another person, all the events for the other person shows up in the my calendar, just with another colour…
Is this possible with eGroupware? Having to opena different calendar makes it a bit more troublesome to share calendars…

Would have been nice to get any response here at the forum, since the manual isn’t really covering much…

In different color?
With code modification I guess yes, it is possible (note that, I’m not
developer).
Via the menu, AFAIK it is not possible.

It is sounds good, but imagine that, if about 100 other people share
their calendar with you, your calendar will get a little bit bizarre

In egw, I think, there is an other strategy to managing shared calendar.

If you will not get answer, I think there are some possible reason:

nobody knows,
developers typing the code in hurry and they have not so much time to
answer (they also need money to survive
it is not important for others
there are lot of spams here, simply missed your Q
your mail landed in Junk (I still have to scan my Junk folder to get
some mails back from this list)
probably the question was wrong or too complex (I did it several times
before
other reasons …

Yes, 100 other people would make a mess, but that’s why Gmail has an option that defines wether to use this coloring or not…

And yes, I know that it maybe many reasons for not getting an answer but it is just that all the other forums I access, there is no problem getting answers to questions… So am just used to getting answers…

Hi,

different colours are not possible the way you described it. The events of different categories are displayed in different colours (you can define those in categories). Of course, you can share your calendar with others, most easy using group-calendars (set ACLs) and you may use group-planner view (choosing a group, works with other, views, too). I didn’t try out the grant access function, if you have only few users this might work, too.
