I have eGroupWare version 1.2.104 and have a question about appointments and
alarms.
If I set an alarm on an appt, nothing ever seems to happen. Am I missing
something needed in order for something to happen? Also, what should happen
when the time for the alarm arrives? A popup window? An email?
The User’s Manual seems to be omitting any information about alarms in the
calendar section.
This looks like a very useful function, and is a crucial function I’ve relied
on with the software I was previously using for my calendar.
Using Tomcat but need to do more? Need to support web services, security?

Download IBM WebSphere Application Server v.1.0.1 based on Apache Geronimo http://sel.as-us.falkag.net/sel?cmd=lnk&kid=120709&bid=263057&dat=121642
Turn on asynchronous service and if you have no chance to run crontab as apache
user, use the fallback check option.
You will receive an email to your account about the appointment.
This is my experience beside the email list
