Please help me with the AngleMail installation… I used the
AngleMail from the contrib package but I get several of the following
errors:
Warning: Call-time pass-by-reference has been deprecated - argument
passed by value; If you would like to pass it by reference, modify
the declaration of runtime function name. If you would like to
enable call-time pass-by-reference, you can set
allow_call_time_pass_reference to true in your INI file. However,
future versions may not support this any longer. in
/opt/apache2/htdocs/egroupware/email/inc/class.mail_dcom_base_sock.inc.php
on line 399
I really need to get my mail off of my mail host and onto my local
server, since I keep running into quotas. I’m excited about the
capibilites of eGroupWare and it’s been so smooth so far, so I’m
surprised I’m having so much trouble with this. Thank you very much
in advance!
Using Tomcat but need to do more? Need to support web services, security?

The errors you are getting are not errors but warnings. you can change
the PHP settings to not display such warnings.
AngleMail is no longer formally supported, although it is the only
client in eGW that supports POP3 mailboxes and multiple mailboxes.
I’ve been looking at the options around running my own mail server and a
retriever mechanism, but since I run windows, these are not as available
as under Linux.

Hmm… Very dissappointnig… That was my purpose for installing eGW in
the first place… I’m looking to replace openwebmail and eGW seemed so
much better.
I tried changing the setting that it suggests in my php.ini to no
avail.
Thank you for your response.
