Yes, you can authenticate agains an IMAP server, you need to log into setup (https://egw.example.org/egroupware/setup/4) upper login, configure the used IMAP server and change the authentication to IMAP. You can also specify there, if authenticated users should be automatically create, if they don’t exist in EGroupware.

That is not an issue, but the default ACL!

In the app configuration of addressbook you can configure which fields every user can edit in this own account.

There is also the possibility to define a group allowed to edit contact information of account beside the Admins group.

I can reproduce it ist not working for “Full name” and the single name fields are not selectable.

What do you mean with “not working”:
a) Is the UI not updated, when you change one of the name parts, or
b) is it not changed after saving/applying the dialog (and maybe reopening the account)?

You can’t select name parts to be allowed for editing in the siite config. So user can’t change the name parts and full name is only the result of the name parts

We checked it today again, and I can not reproduce it, because it has been fixed since the last maintenance release:

You can either wait for the next maintenance release, or install the fix/patch using the instructions here in the forum.
