Hi all…
I had this problem a few months ago, but as nobody couldn’t help me, I
waited some time and tried again, waiting for a new version more stable.
Today I tried again.
Made a clean cvs install.
Create a new database on Postgresql 7.4.5.
The ‘check install’ process goes fine (only the oci8 extension I dont have)
The header creation goes fine too
But, when I try to create the applications (the tables) nothing happens.
With or without extra debug messages checked.
This occurs only if I try to use Postgresql.
With Mysql works fine.
I the stable version (1.0.0.009) working on Postgres without problems.
Seems there’s something wrong with head version with Postgres.
I hope someone could help now, as the new version (1.2) is almost done and I
can’t install it in Postgres…
OR
There’s a way to use a postgres backup to create my applications on mysql ?
Thank you in advance.
My enviroment:
Mandrake 10
Postgres 7.4.5
Php 4.3.4
Apache2
Firefox 1.0.7
IE 6

I will fix that, before the 1.2 is final.

That’s easy to do with the 1.2:
- install a dump of your 1.0.0 eGW data on the server with the 1.2
- instead of updating you create a backup (updating creates a backup by
default too)
- that backup can be installed, instead creating a new (empty) installation.
Btw. your error-messages sounded like you tried installing new and not
updating your existing data. Why is that?
Ralf

I’m still unable to run eGw new version (1.2.005) in my postgres…
My ‘syslog’ show only a message: “relation ‘egw_config’ do not exist’”
Hope this problems still in mind.
Thank you.
