Thanks for the info, selecting the language was kind of broken due to an
other recent fix. It’s fixed now in svn for all branches.
As a workaround you can also change the language preference and log out
and in again.
Ralf
Hi all,
since approx. one year I got responsibility to maintain egw on an ubuntu
server. Later I changed to SUSE 11.2 and made an update to egw 1.6. Almost
everything did work fine. Yesterday I made the update to ewg 1.8.
Since the beginning I did struggle with the obvious inability to select
different languages. I did install german, french and english language but
any attempt to select one of the installed languages by means of preferences
did not work as no one of the languages was offered to select. I’ve only the
option to select “Use default”. I did read all messages of this board
associated with “language” and found a posting that possibly the table
ewg_languages might be empty. I checked this using phpMyAdmin and indeed I
found an empty table. I filled the table manually with the three entries en
- english, de - deutsch and fr - francais but no success. Regarding language
installtations I did select the uft-8 character set.
One more strange thing: if i use the admin site configuration to select
"yes" at the parameter "Should the login page include a language selectbox"
I get a selectbox but with the two options “yes” and “no”.
I hope that someone could help me out.
Best regards
Bernhard
