Yes, you can do “theming” but it’s not well documented and appears rather difficult and time consuming.

EGroupware allows two ways of “theming”:

a) template sets, they can contain own layouts, images and css files and

b) themes, they are css files contained in template sets, from which the
user can choose

An example for a) is “jerryr” template set which is derived from the
default “idots” template set. Default idots template set contains also
an example for b), it has an idots theme plus a traditional theme. Idots
theme include traditional and only changes a view styles.

EPL contains a the new “stylite” template, with tabs for each
application. In EPL 11.1 it will offer a way to change the basic colors
via user preferences.

I was wondering if there is anywhere I can see different “looks” that
can be applied to egroupware, without doing a lot of customization.

Are any alternate “template sets” or “themes” (except jerryr) currently
available? I think there were some in past versions. I’d prefer to use
somethig that exists currently and is somewhat maintained rather that
roll my own and be stuck maintianing it forever.

In community version jerryr is the only alternative one. The old have
been removed after a big redesign for 1.4.

Most easy is to just change CSS like the current
phpgwapi/templates/idots/css/idots.css does it (from traditional.css).
That’s pretty save, as it includes traditional.css, so you will get all
changes we make there.
