eGroupware 23.1 on Rocky 8 and 9

Hi I have two test installation of eGroupware 23.1 on Rocky 8 and Rocky 9

On the Rocky 9 install, files, such as .pdf’s, uploaded and linked to items such as infolog entries do not upload. Existing entries transferred from a eGw 21 installation are shown but don’t display.

This fault does not show on the Rocky 8 installation.

Could this be a permissions issue??

I should add that otherwise the Rocky 9 installation appears to be working correctly.

We have other customers using Rocky Linux, but I don’t know if it’s 8 or 9.

I remember from the RHEL/CentOS days, that SELinux can be causing exactly the problem you describe. Have you tried switching it off test-wise?

It was a permissions issue. This time of my own making. Fixed now.

For future readers of this thread the permissions of the /var/lib/egroupware/default/files/sqlfs directory on a Rocky (RHEL) system look like this
