Summary: Exceptions for recurring events are broken after DB upgrade
Initial Comment:
Hi,
I wanted to test 1.2RC5 to see if we should upgrade our
1.0 install when 1.2 gets released. I’ve found a
problem with the Calendar app.
I have a recurring event, every sunday for about a year
time. Some weeks the event does not occur and I deleted
the entry with the “Delete single” option, works great
in 1.0. I updated this database to 1.2RC5 and found out
one of the deleted events showed up in my calendar.
When I opened the event, all the dates I deleted are
listed under Recurrence -> Exceptions, but they do show
in the calendar.
I saw the “Edit exceptions” button, tried it, pressed
save and all the exception where gone, or so I thought.
But then the exceptions were working and the deleted
events did NOT show up in the calendar anymore (what is
correct).
So maybe a bug in the database update??

Hi,
I cant reproduce the bug with the up-to-date cvs version.
I doubt it has anything to do with the update, as the
exceptions are stored exactly in the same way as in 1.0.
I cant recall if I fixed something in that part of the code
since RC5/6. So wait for the RC7, which will come out today
and do a NEW update.
Let me know how it goes.
Ralf
