Hello,
I’m working on egw 1.2 RC4.
I just set up a sidebox menu with a hook file
(myapp/inc/hook_sidebox_menu.inc.php) and created some link in it.
$file = Array(
‘Link1’ =>
$GLOBALS[‘egw’]->link(’/index.php’,‘menuaction=myapp.myclass.index’)
);
The display is fine (i can see al my links !), but when I follow a link
(any) in this menu, I always go to home page.
Links are menuaction=myapp.myclass.myfonction …
I don’t understand why (and docs are not very accurate.).
Is there some rights to manage somewhere (i’m admin…) in egw ? any clues ?
I’m disapointed !
Thanks for any help !

Make sure you have a “$public_functions” member in your class file
(myapp/inc/class.myclass.inc.php). eGW uses it as kind of method acess
control system.
So the only you must to do is to add the member (and initialize it in
the constructor or inline, in the member declaration) array like:
var $public_functions = array(‘myfunction’ => true);
Note the “var” syntax is deprecated in php5. All methods you want to
be accessible by the “menuaction” system must appear in that array.
Otherwise, you are redirected to home.
Regards.
