401 is not a failed authorisation, it’s the mean to ask the client to
send authorisation data.

actually to be precise:
lionscage.local - - [26/Oct/2008:17:45:32 +0000] “GET
/icalsrv/icalsrv.php HTTP/1.1” 401 - “-” "Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux
x86_64; en-US; rv:1.8.1.17) Gecko/20080925 Lightning/0.9
Thunderbird/2.0.0.17"
lionscage.local - houselion [26/Oct/2008:17:45:42 +0000] “GET
/icalsrv/icalsrv.php HTTP/1.1” 500 594 “-” “Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux
x86_64; en-US; rv:1.8.1.17) Gecko/20080925 Lightning/0.9
Thunderbird/2.0.0.17”
so first we get a http 401 - authorisation failed. LDAP issue?

Hi Ralf
as I pointed out I am aware of the change in directory. According to
app management icalsrv is installed. The reason I am not using caldav
is that I want tasks. Apart from that i tried it and it didn’t work
either.
according to my apach log icalsrv is throwing a 500 when addressed:
graylion [26/Oct/2008:02:33:23 +0000] “GET /icalsrv/icalsrv.php
HTTP/1.1” 500 594 “-” "Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US;
rv:1.8.1.17) Gecko/20080925 Lightning/0.9 Thunderbird/2.0.0.17"
please note correct directory.
cheers

Hi Bernhard,
the icalsrv url changed, as icalsrv is depricated. So the url/handler is
in it’s own application directory and if you dont install it, it’s not
laying around in eGW and not working.
Lightning 0.8+ works well with CalDAV available in the current trunk or
1.6rc2.

Hi guys
the way this looks one needs to connect to
https://host.domain.tld/egroupware/icalsrv/icalsrv.php. Trying this with
Lightning 0.9 I get told that the server is not available. This worked
in 1.5.0.10 where one still connected to
https://host.domain.tld/egroupware/icalsrv.php.
Has anybody encountered this?
cheers
