Hi,
I have installed EGroupware 23.1 using the installation script provided by Virtualmin 7.10 on a server running Ubuntu 22.04.4.
The installation was not straightforward, but I was finally able to get all the green checkboxes
However, when I’m trying to login, all the application icons are greyed out and I’m unable to perform any actions.
The installation method used in Virtualm seems to differ significantly from what is described in Egroupware documentation.
Any hints, documents or suggestions you might point out would be most welcome.

Thanks in advance,

Eric

Hi Eric,

I never heard from Virtualmin before.
Since this is not a supported installation method it’s difficult to help you here from the community side.

But you can buy a support ticket here:

Ok,

Thank you for the suggestion, I will investigate a bit more.

All the best,

Eric

Hi Eric.

I know Virtualmin, I use Webmin and Usermin on some systems myself.

But we here have no idea about the installation via Webmin.

For good reason, the standard installation of EGroupware is designed differently:

For good reason, we install from Docker. More about this:

Why are you installing via Virtualmin?

Do you have the option of using a standard installation?
This can then also be supported…

Stefan

Hi Stefan,

Thank you for your reply.
I’m using Webmin+Virtualmin to manage a dedicated server hosting several domains and websites.
I found it very useful and user-friendly, and therefore I would like to keep it as the “central” administration tool. Virtualmin provides an installation script for Egroupware, unfortunately, it is not completely integrated.

Best regards,

Eric
