Notifications happen 5 hours after set time

hope I can get some help here
all is great with eGW, but…

installed on Fedora Core 3 with all updates
system time is “local time”

here is what happens

set event for 15:00
set notify for 1400 [1 hour before]
email comes in but at 19:00
or exactly 5 hours [CDT -500 is where I am] late

where is a setting to change eGW notify to
local time or create a offset hack

thanks

Hi,

mybe it’s a problem with your prefs.

eGW uses a time-difference to the server in the prefs, NOT a timezone.
So if your server is on local time and you also added that 5hour
difference from your timezone in the prefs, you would get exactly that
situation.

the descriptions are somewhat confusing

This is located is on the “forced” tab and as noted it an offset to the actual time and has nothing to do with TimeZones
