as far as I know, you must translate sample_app to something of your desire.
You use the translation tool for that.
Open translation tool
Select sample_app for edit
Check for new strings to translate
add sample_app as new text
translate
choose common for application
add
save, and write to file

It is, you can see it everywhere in EGroupware!

Maybe you forgot to update the database or to make a "common"
translation for the application name.

What are the steps to change the name of the icon from ‘test’ to ‘Test’?
The EGW version is 1.9.011.

What is the version of your egw? Coz it seems, i can’t find your steps.

This is what i did.
1] Click on ‘Add New Phrase’

2] In the ‘Add New Phrase’ form, enter the following data to fields: (Then click on ‘Add’ button)

3] After clicking ‘Add’ button the window redirect here:

Where do i click next?

I can’t find [Save] in “below and [Save] to go back to the main”.

Translation is for a second language, which you’re not using!

I was having this same query but now because of the help of the above posts it has been solved.I successfully altered the name of the icon in the toolbar of egw header.
