Hello,
I have successfully installed eGroupWare on CentOS 4.3, and have been trying
to get it to work with SME Server 7 (which is based on CentOS 4.3). However
the install falls over when it is trying to check that it can write to the
session.save_path. On SME this is set to /tmp, but the installer says it does
not exist. I changed it to the same as CentOS 4.3 (/var/lib/php/session)
which has exactly the same permissions as on CentOS 4.3, but the installer
cannot see this either.
Can someone give me some pointers as to what may be going on?
Many thanks.

Solved it thanks to:

Turned out to be a SME issue.
