It actually does work. It seems, a new option (select addressbook) now
behaves different from hot it use to be in 1.6. The setting now assumes
the personal addressbook, while we organize the contacts in groups for
most cases. Maybe, the default setting should be “all addressbooks” for
upgraders? 
Joerg, thanks so much for the great syncml implementation. I regard that
as a core value of eGroupware to me.

On my LDAP installation, the syncml synchronization of contacts stopped
working with the funambol client. The contacts on the mobile have been
removed and even an initial sync returns an empty addressbook, while the
addresses are still available through the web frontend.
