Since few weeks, I try to understand what happend when I sync my contacts
between my palm device and EGW
EGW 1.2.105
Palm Tungsten E
Syncml client Synthesis v2.5.0.62 (current version available is .68, but not
different)
I can see :
Sync contacts do not accept second email (Home email) in both ways.
Because i a non programmer, I have read all the files in the EGW addressbook
and phpgwapi directory.
I have found the class.vcaladdressbook.inc.php file, with interristing lines

Questions :
- Is it the good file (vcaladdressbook.inc.php) to see where is programming
fields and data for syncing ? - If yes, does the line * $this->supportedFields = $defaultFields[0]; *
means that the fields which sync between EGW and syncml client are those
included in the * $defaultFields[0] = array( * section ? - If yes, why the second email (line * ‘EMAIL;INTERNET;HOME’ =>
array(‘home_email’), * present in other defaults field sections ) is not
included ? Is it because syncml client do not accept this field ? In
extension, why other fields (home address, birthday etc …) are not
included ? - What should happend if I insert the line * ‘EMAIL;INTERNET;HOME’ =>
array(‘home_email’), * in this section ? Is it the only thing to do to sync
this or must I do another thing ? - Does somebody has the the same problem with or without the same
configuration ?
Perhaps I am wrong in all … If it is, thank you for reply, I will not lost
my time anymore … Ift not, thank you for reply and help me anyway !
