Guys,
One thing I've noticed in 1.8 is the addressbook columns do not automatically
scale themselves to fit within the window width like they did in 1.6 (or 1.4,
1.2, etc…). It looks like the new default inclusion of the “Birthday” column is
what is throwing things off. It is the only new column displayed after update
from 1.6->1.8. Here is a screenshot showing the the amount of scroll past the
right-window edge is caused by including the birthday column:

I disabled the birthday column and now everything is back to normal. Maybe we
should look at turning it off by default? Thanks.
