I have installed eGroupware 1.8 with MySQL (mysql-5.1.58-jason.1.x86_64) from EGroupware repository on CentOS 5. I have “Can’t connect to local MySQL server through socket ‘/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock’ (2)” error message in eGroupware domain setup (http://localhost/egroupware/setup/index.php). I have the same error when I try run command ‘mysql’. What causes this error? How to connect to MySQL and create database for eGroupware? Could you help me?
