Hi David,
that must be a caching problem of your browser, setup as well as regular
login shows a new logo.
Try hittinge refersh or F5.

Just a note. The logo.png shown in 1.8 initial egroupware/setup still says 1.6
Here is a quick screenshot of the initial screen. I had to double check my
svn checkout command to make sure I pulled the right branch. Sure enough, I did.
So it just looks like the logo.png file need updating.
