I just installed a brand new server specifically for egw, based on ubuntu 14.04LTS. I found at least two issues.
1st. Everything went fine, until the sitemgr installation, where I got sql insert errors in different modules. It seems it is related to the content of the string, especially this sign: ’ It seems the escape char () is not working as expected.

2nd. When I login to the new system, the Admin menu has a tree menu structure, but without icons, only texts. Icons have placeholders, but not the real icons. In parallel, clicking on any menu entries do nothing. I only have a user list on the main screen. So, it is impossible to access to the admin menus. Based on the error log, it seems the administrator has no permission to etemplate.

3rd. It seems there are some other issues, I do not know yet, it is related to the weird GUI issue with admin or not. I just paste the error log for your information. I will check this part later.
