Acces user to file manager

Hi, our goal is to give a customer an account on egroupware for uploading files. After the login, he/she should only have access to the file manager. In the file manager then only access to a smb share. Is this even possible?

That would be possible in principle, but it is a lot of work.

Would file-sharing of a folder be an alternative for you?

Do you want to see the name of the customer(s)? Then you would actually have to create a user and restrict the rights. This would also have to be done via a group with restricted rights because of the execution rights.

Are you a legacy user and have you installed the group administration?

Sharing files is the goal so yes. The name of the customer is not relevant in our case. At the moment we use the community edition (on-Premises) and group administration is not installed. On the website I read that you need the EPL Business to achieve our goal, is that correct?

I just found out that for installing de groups you need acces to de egroupware repo for download.
