Access denied using Synthesis

Hi

I changed my Linux distribution and wanted to set up eGroupware completely from scratch. I was able to finish the installation an can perfectly log in on http://server_ip/egroupware from my webbrowser. Moreover, using Icedove I was also able to set up a remote address book using a Sogo-connector.

However, the final step would be to reload the server with one of my clients data. I wanted to use my smartphone and Synthesis, which worked perfectly in the past. I used as server path

http://server_ip/egroupware/rpc.php

And for contacts and calendar the following: ./contacts and ./events

But I always get “Acces Denied”. I retried this several times always typing in my password. So this should be correct. What could be the problem?

Hi,

which EGroupware version are you using?

In 14.1 SyncML is no longer packaged by default (while entry point
rpc.php is still there!).

To install it manually either check it our via SVN or download it’s tgz
from our svn server:

http://svn.stylite.de/viewvc/egroupware/trunk/syncml/

Many thanks for your reply. Indeed before I used 1.8 and now debian installed automatically 14.1. How do I install this? There is no READMe nor a ./config file to execute make and make install. Many thanks for your pantience / help

Unpack it as syncml sub-directory in your EGroupware dir, like all the
other apps, then go to setup >> Manage applications an install it, if
that’s not already done from 1.8.

This is a section of my application Setup. I restarted the apache server but still get the Access denied error message. The server URL is correct: http://myIP/egroupware/rpc.php. I just allow to connect to the server when you are connected to my network. It does also not work to download stuff to thunderbird using the sogo connector. Do you have an idea what else could cause the issue? Again, I’m really thankful for your help.

Sogo connector uses CalDAV, not SyncML.

Are you sure your users have run-rights for SyncML application?

What do you get when you visit

http://myIP/egroupware/rpc.php

with a regular browser?
